Planning is well underway for the “Flash Flood” event along Houston’s White Oak Bayou at Studewood Park on February 28th.
There are a lot of details still to be determined, but we are working with local schools to help teach students about our bayous and their significance to life in Houston, and to encourage student bayou advocates to participate in a one-mile walk along the Bayou’s 100-year flood line. Their participation in the event will make this line easy to visualize and will remind people about the potential impacts that these major flood events can have on our neighborhood spaces.
If you want to show your support for this event, please come Studewood Park on February 28th, but you can also help us by spreading the word.
